The Sins of Wal-Mart

I've been interested in Wal-Mart for some time -- I spent three bizarre days in Bentonville a while ago, and wrote up my visit, and Wal-Mart's semi-comical attempts at media manipulation, for the New Yorker, and I've been following the Debbie Shanks story with some feeling of disgust.
